Full and Chamber Orchestra

Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 – Arrangement – 9 piece chamber ensemble – Difficult – $120

This is arranged for Rick Robinson’s chamber group (consisting of flute, A clarinet, bassoon, C trumpet, trombone, timpani, auxiliary percussion, violin, and string bass) that he has used for some of his Classical Revolution Detroit public concerts. I can generate B-flat clarinet and trumpet parts if no A clarinet or C trumpet is available.

America The Beautiful – Arrangement – Full Orchestra – Moderately easy – $80

A straight-forward play-through of the melody twice with some original orchestration and a fairly typical big ending with some jazzy block chords.

Summertime – Arrangement – Full Orchestra – Moderately easy – $80

George Gershwin’s classic tune, as a trumpet solo. The trumpet part is melodically written out (except for the cadenza) but with jazz chord changes indicated so that the soloist may alter their performance as they see fit. The tone resembles the lullaby the original tune is, but the arrangement/orchestration is distinctly different from what Gershwin did in Porgy And Bess.
